A SEA OF HOSPITALITY. Rimini is the town that best represents the friendly, fun-loving spirit of the people of the Romagna region. But not only. On the Rimini Riviera, past and future combine to intrigue and enchant you. And it could hardly be otherwise since here, as nowhere else, myth and legend, forts and castles blend with modern success stories, avant-garde architecture, beach clubs and wellness, and countless opportunities for leisure and entertainment. Not to mention business. Because those who choose to bring their events to Rimini know they can count on modern hotels and an excellent choice of conference facilities: from state-of-the-art convention centres like the new Palacongressi – Italy’s largest – to the numerous historic and original venues that make this town suitable for hosting a wide variety of events.
Main conference venues:
The current Palacongressi della Riviera di Rimini: the largest convention centre in Italy. It can host up to 10,000 delegates and offers meeting halls – with 20 to 6,000 seats – that can also be used as exhibition areas. Thanks to their versatility and movable furnishings, such spaces can be re-arranged to stage events of any type and scale, at different times or simultaneously.
The new Palacongressi di Rimini: due to be inaugurated in Fall 2010. It will feature 11,000 sq m of exhibition space, 42 rooms with overall seating capacity for 9,300 delegates. Numerous catering and food service areas, as well as parking for 1,000 cars. The complex is designed to ensure the utmost in flexibility and functionality, and is complete with all the latest hi-tech equipment and amenities to satisfy meeting planners and delegates alike.
Fiera di Rimini: the Expo Centre boasts its own indoor railway station (on the Milan-Bari line) plus a helipad, 16 pavilions offering a total exhibition surface area of 109,000 sq m, 24 versatile conference rooms, ranging from 30 to 730 seats.
Riccione’s Palazzo dei Congressi: a new convention centre recently inaugurated right in the heart of town, offering 10 versatile meeting halls with seating for between 40 and 2,300 delegates. It lies just a short walk from the shops and clubs that have made this little town a major attraction for bargain-hunters and fun-seekers from all over Europe and beyond.
Conference hotels: such as the conference centre in Rimini’s iconic Grand Hotel – featured in numerous Fellini films – and the conference rooms in the futuristic duoMo hotel.
Malatesta sites: Castel Sismondo in the historic centre of Rimini, or Rocca di Verucchio, a fortified medieval village perched on a rocky spur overlooking a valley inland.
Villas and historic palazzi: such as the neoclassical Villa des Vergers just outside town, ideal for gala dinners and official presentations.
